SCC’s values show up in measurable social impact. Founded by Sir Peter Rigby in 1992, The Rigby Foundation delivers on the family’s core belief that giving back to society should go hand in hand with being successful in business.
The Foundation funds evidence-based programmes in education, health and social inclusion, reinforcing national goals of opportunity for all. Inspiring Futures invests £1m per year for three years to support 11–25-year-olds from low-income backgrounds with attainment, skills and wellbeing – helping over 1,000 young people a year progress toward sustainable careers.
Through its ‘Inspiring Futures programme, The Rigby Foundation funds projects that enable young people, regardless of their background, to access the best education possible and to have the chance of securing meaningful and sustainable employment.
During the past 30 years, I have established and managed our family charitable foundation. It has been the principal vehicle through which we have supported initiatives, investments, causes, concerns, and education, across a broad range of people, communities and interests.
